Time flies when you're in a training class. I have to say my company does training pretty well. They don't let you just show up and coast. You actually have to participate.
With the course I just finished today there was no choice. It's a presenting course. I have to do PowerPoint presentations from time to time. I wish I would have taken this course alot earlier. Man, I would have kicked so much ass!!
I belong to Toastmasters which is a public speaking and leadership club, but they tought me things in this three day course that I wouldn't have learned in a year of Toastmasters.
I did my last presentation and all the feedback was positive! They like me, they really like me.

Powerpoint is cool. I used it once and want to learn how to use it well. I love classes like that, that force you to be in front of your peers. I learned a lot from my ESL teaching classes (one month intensive)...more than from all the education classes at the college I graduated from. I so know what you mean. Btw, so that's what Toastmasters is! I had no idea. Thought it was something like Pampered Chef, lol. |

Yeah, that's what alot of people think Toastmasters is. Think more making A toast than making toast. PowerPoint is a great tool and I'm only scratching the surface of what it can do. Opened my eyes quite a bit in that course. Things I didn't think I could do in a presentation aren't a problem. |
